Sea-Doo Spark Top Speed: How Fast Does the Sea-Doo Spark Go?

The top speed of a Sea-Doo Spark is 42-50 mph depending on the model. The basic Spark comes with a 60 HP engine and offers a top speed of 42 mph. The more powerful Sea-Doo Spark 90 and Spark TRIXX models have the more powerful, 90 HP engine option. The top speed of these Spark models is 48-50 mph under ideal conditions!

In contrast, the most powerful Sea-Doos can hit an amazing 67 (or even 70!) mph with ease.

If you want to learn more about the Sea-Doo Sparks, this post is for you. We’ve gathered the key specs of these famous Sea-Doos under one roof!

Sea-Doo Spark Top Speed

How fast does the Sea-Doo Spark go? This question is typically asked by many jet ski buyers.

When it comes to the Sea-Doo Spark family, there are 3 different models.

The most affordable one is the Sea-Doo Spark 60. This craft is powered with an 899cc, 3-cylinder, 4-stroke engine, which puts out 60 HP. You can expect to get a top speed of 42 mph on this Spark.

The more powerful option in this series is the Spark 90. Although it has the same engine as its smaller brother, as the names imples, you can expect 90 HP on this craft. (The engine on the 60 HP Spark is electronically limited.)

Thanks to the more powerful engine, the top speed of the Sea-Doo Spark 90 is 48-50 mph!

Moreover, these lightweight Sea-Doos accelerate very well. According to PWC Muscle, the Sea-Doo Spark 60 can do the 0-30 mph run in about 3.7 seconds, and 0-40 mph in 5 seconds. With the more powerful engine, the 90 HP Spark can do 0-30 mph in 2.5 seconds, and 0-40 mph in 4.2 seconds.

Sea-Doo Spark Trixx Top Speed

It’s safe to say that the Sea-Doo Spark Trixx is very similar to the basic Spark models. But as its name implies, it’s designed to do tricks like wheelies, spins, and so on!

The only (but very noticeable) difference compared to the basic series is that the TRIXX got a special package that includes a VTS (variable trim system), an adjustable handlebar, and a special addition at the end of the footwells.

These special features enable the TRIXX to do amazing stunts on the water!

As this craft is powered with the same 899cc, 90 HP engine, the top speed of the Sea-Doo Spark TRIXX is about 48-50 mph. When it comes to the acceleration of the Sea-Doo Spark TRIXX, it’s safe to say that you can expect to see very similar numbers as the basic 90 HP Sparks (0-30 mph in 2.5 sec.).

Sea-Doo Spark 110 HP Top Speed

By installing a maptuner, you can boost the performance of a Sea-Doo Spark to a whopping 110 HP.

Thanks to this increased performance, the Sea-Doo Spark 110 HP top speed is around 52-53 mph, but by installing an aftermarket impeller you can even hit 55 mph!

When it comes to acceleration, the 110 HP Spark can reach 30 mph in 2.2 seconds and 40 mph in 3.9 seconds.

Even if you can increase the performance of a Spark with aftermarket parts and products, keep in mind that this tiny craft is not built to break speed records. Instead, it can offer playful rides and endless fun on the water!

If you are looking for a faster Sea-Doo, it would make sense to purchase a more powerful model, rather than spending thousands of dollars to boost a Spark!

Sea-Doo Sparks can go as fast as 42-50 mph depending on the model. Sparks are sometimes criticized for being too slow compared to other PWCs.

Well, contrary to this popular belief, Sea-Doo Sparks are not slow at all!

If we compare the 90 HP Sparks to its competitor models, it seems they reach the same top speed as any other craft in this class. For example, you can expect around the same top speed (ca. 50 mph) on the Yamaha EX WaveRunners.

On the other hand, 40-50 mph on the water is really fast. Most beginners are happy with a top speed of 30-35 mph. What’s more, many of them are afraid to go any faster on their first rides!

Thus, if you are a beginner and looking for an affordable Sea-Doo, you can’t gro wrong with a Spark.

But if you are an experienced rider, you should take a look at more powerful models, especially if you are performance-minded!
